A couple was looking to live out two dreams at once- downsizing after their children leave the nest for college, and re-connecting with their city roots with a “weekday” getaway. After living in the country and raising their family, they chose a beautiful Central Park West apartment with a “guestroom” for their children when they visit from college. The design and construction team balanced the couple’s wishes for an modern open, light and airy feel, and their traditional tastes and practical sensibility.
